Supplier Quality Technician / Operator

Our client is seeking a Supplier Quality Technician / Operator to join their Stafford-based manufacturing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role supporting shop‑floor quality activities, supplier issue follow‑up, defect documentation, and rework support.

Location and hours

• Site: Stafford, ST17 4LN.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00.
• Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months.
• Working style: On-site only.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up supplier‑related quality issues on the shop floor.
• Identify and document defects and non-conformances.
• Capture photos and videos for quality records and reporting.
• Support and monitor supplier rework activities on site.
• Work closely with Quality and Manufacturing teams to close out issues.
• Support basic root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving.
• Maintain quality and safety standards within the factory environment.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop‑floor quality role.
• Experience in HVDC, power transformers, or heavy electrical equipment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands‑on approach.
• Comfortable working directly on the shop floor.
• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Clear communicator who can work independently and with multiple stakeholders.
