Change a Life – Become a Children’s Support Worker with Paragon Social Care

Ready to make a real difference? At Paragon Social Care, that’s exactly what you’ll do. We’re looking for caring, resilient, and passionate individuals to join our amazing team of Children’s Support Workers — people who want to help young lives grow, heal, and thrive.

Whether you have experience in care or you’re searching for a meaningful new career, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on children and young people who need stability, safety, and hope.

Who We Are

At Paragon Social Care, our vision is simple: “Excellence Through Understanding.”

We provide 24/7 wraparound support for children and young people in local authority care during times of uncertainty and transition. Our mission is to create safe, nurturing, and empowering environments while helping every young person plan for a brighter future.

Because every child deserves compassion, opportunity, and someone who believes in them — and that could be you.

What You’ll Do

No two days are the same! As a Children’s Support Worker, you’ll:

  • Provide trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported
  • Build positive, trusting relationships
  • Encourage healthy routines and life skills
  • Support education, prepare meals, and accompany children to appointments
  • Champion their voice — making sure they’re heard and valued
  • Drive young people to activities or appointments using your own vehicle
  • Help them move forward with confidence and hope

What We’re Looking For

  • ✔ Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
  • ✔ Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • ✔ Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
  • ✔ Flexibility for varied shifts (including weekends, sleep-ins, and waking nights)
  • ✔ A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)

A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent) is desirable but not essential — full training provided.

What You’ll Get

Competitive pay: £17.50 – £28.00 per hour (depending on shift type)

Comprehensive training: 21 online modules + in-person courses in safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and positive behaviour support, PACE training too!
