This is a unique service offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. The Support Worker role involves encouraging people to play active roles in the communities, supporting activities of daily living, communicating effectively, engaging and motivating people, and providing positive behavioral support approaches.

Main duties of the job

The Support Worker role at Enable in Colsterworth, Lincolnshire involves supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to their role. They will be responsible for encouraging people to be active in their communities, supporting daily living activities, effective communication, engagement and motivation, and specialized support approaches.

Where youll be working:

We support up to 9 people living in Colsterworth just 8 miles from Grantham

This is a unique service offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating– effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging– promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording– keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
