Part time Enhanced Response Service Support Workers

The Enhanced Response Service is a fast‑paced service providing support to service users who trigger their telecare alarm and also working alongside the ambulance service in responding to non‑injured falls. We promote independence and sign‑post service users to Partnership teams to provide care and support in a person‑centred way.

The post requires flexible working: regular morning, evening and weekend shifts, and the ability and willingness to travel across the team geographical area.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist with all personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, catheter care, feeding, meal preparation, medication and others.
  • Respond to falls and tele‑care alerts to provide reassurance and practical assistance in coordination with services such as Fire and Rescue and Ambulance.
  • Apply learning from adult protection, diversity, and Mental Capacity Act training and be responsible for recognising and reporting incidents or concerns in line with Council policy.
  • Liaise effectively within the team and with other agencies (e.g. assistive technology or health colleagues) to ensure the service is delivered effectively.
  • Complete written and electronic documentation regarding service‑users care in accordance with CCC policy.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Previous experience working within a care environment, preferably adult social care.
  • NVQ Level 2 Care qualification or equivalent; willingness to work towards Level 3.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy and good IT skills for electronic data entry and case records.
  • Full manual driving licence applicable to manual vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel across Cambridgeshire using CCC pool vehicles.
  • Availability for 18.25 or 21.25 hours per week (part‑time); flexible rota including morning, evening and weekend shifts and working every other weekend.
  • Induction training covered in the first 4 weeks of employment, including training days with the line manager and shadowing members of the ERS team.
