Assistant Commercial Manager

Brief Description

Support the ASPRO Commercial Team in managing and mitigating risks of construction works in the Southern Region. Monitor and report on commercial aspects of projects, providing financial management information to promote proactive decision making.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a host of Project Managers and their portfolios, highlighting commercial risks.
• Monitor and report on commercial aspects of projects, flagging issues early.
• Assist Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Manager with accurate costing information.
• Challenge cost elements and conduct cost analysis of completed projects.
• Produce required documentation for approval, commercial correspondence, and contractual notices.
• Undertake final account settlements and internal reconciliation.
• Escalate matters that might breach corporate governance and resolve them timely.

Qualifications

• Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced project environment.
• Experience in financial management information in a project setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of corporate governance and ability to handle delegated authority levels.
