The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Internal Business Development Manager / Account Manager to grow and manage a dedicated territory.
This is a sales‑driven, office‑based role focused on generating new business through outbound activity, while also developing and maximising existing accounts.
You will take ownership of your region, driving revenue growth and managing the performance and profitability (P&L) of your customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through cold calling and outbound sales activity
- Identify and target key prospects, building a strong sales pipeline
- Develop and implement territory growth plans and sales strategies
- Build, manage, and grow long‑term customer relationships
- Maximise revenue from existing accounts through upselling and cross‑selling
- Take ownership of your regional P&L performance, ensuring profitable growth
- Follow up marketing campaigns and inbound enquiries effectively
- Work closely with operations to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets
Typical responsibilities aligned with UK logistics BDM roles include pipeline development, relationship management, and revenue growth strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Strong cold calling and new business generation skills
- Confident communicator with excellent relationship‑building ability
- Target‑driven with a results‑focused mindset
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage and grow profitability
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in logistics or transport is beneficial (but not essential)
- Comfortable working in an office‑based sales environment
Salary & Benefits
- £25,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission structure (realistic high earnings potential)
