What you’ll do

  • Help facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives. Ensure their health and wellbeing and safeguard them at all times.
  • Meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
  • Support the wider team with a range of domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and food shopping.
  • Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum 22 years of age, in line with Ofsted regulations.
  • Caring, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with others.
  • Valid manual driving licence.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience is not essential; we provide a Skills to Care induction and support you to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months.

  • Starting salary of £26,208 with £50 per sleep‑in on top.
  • 224 hours holiday, increasing to 248 hours after 4 years.
