Children’s Support Worker (Welfare Boarding Worker) Term-time 39 weeks pa William Morris School, (Eastington, Stonehouse, Glos GL10 3SH), part of Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children with neurodevelopmental difficulties.
The school is one of the few educational establishments in the country to adopt a truly ‘trauma-informed’ and ‘trauma-responsive’ approach to care, therapy and education.
We are currently seeking dedicated term-time only welfare staff to work in our small 39-week boarding provision, due to open in April 2026. Hours: 39 weeks pa, term-time only working a two-week fixed rota which is on average 40 hours per week & two sleep-ins.
This will also include working some weekends.
Full and part time options available.
You will be establishing key support relationships with pupils in their boarding provision while providing them with the care, guidance and support they need to thrive.

Requirements for the role
- Some experience of working with people in a person-centred way is desirable but not essential
- An ability to adapt your approach to individual needs and come up with creative solutions to overcome challenges will also help
