Overview

KS2 Teaching Assistant – Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a large and well-established primary school in the BL3 area. The role is available on a full-time basis, with working hours 8:30-3:30 beginning Tuesday 1st September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident supporting pupils in Years 5 and 6, particularly those preparing for their end-of-Key Stage assessments to start early with additional support in the Autumn term.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in Years 5 and 6, including those preparing for end-of-Key Stage assessments.
  • Deliver interventions in reading, writing and mathematics, and assist SATs preparation.
  • Work closely with class teachers to raise attainment, build confidence and track pupil progress.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with strong communication skills and a passion for supporting learning.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience delivering targeted interventions in KS2.
  • Familiarity with SATs preparation.

  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks, including a DBS check; training offered.

Employment Details

The role is full-time, 8:30-3:30, starting 1st September. This is a temporary position with potential for permanence in some cases. Pay rates are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. All work is subject to safeguarding checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
