SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary & Specialist Settings | Wimbledon, Croydon & Surrounding Areas Recruiting via Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of secondary and specialist SEN schools across Wimbledon and the surrounding areas to recruit experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles.
This role is strictly for candidates with proven SEN experience. Please do not apply if you do not meet the essential criteria outlined below.
About the Role
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and emotional regulation
Supporting students across secondary and specialist SEN settings
Implementing EHCP strategies and supporting individual learning plans
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
Opportunities available across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Richmond, Twickenham, Croydon, Carshalton, Sutton, and surrounding areas
Day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities available
Full-time and part-time roles
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working with SEN children – ESSENTIAL
Experience within a school or specialist SEN setting
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – ESSENTIAL
Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
Ability to follow EHCPs and support individual needs effectively
