Build Recruitment are working with a London based NHS Trust to source a Fire Safety Officer. Up to £45k.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Department, the Fire Safety Officer will be responsible for establishing, managing, and coordinating the provision of fire risk assessments, audits & inspections and maintaining records of such for the Trust’s premises.
Advising Estates Staff on technical fire matters and monitoring the state of fire in the Trust’s premises as well as advising and assisting managers in the interpretation and application of fire legislation.
As the Fire Safety Officer, it is expected that you would have senior experience in a Fire Service, combining practical operational experience and experience in enforcement and risk assessment.
You will also have thorough knowledge of Fire Safety, Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Legislation and Codes of Practice and Fire Safety Training.
Qualifications
It is expected that applicant will have a Professional Fire Safety qualification, Management or leadership qualification and a relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH / IOSH).
Working collaboratively with numerous in-house team and external supply‑chain, excellent communication skills are a must.
