About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key part in helping students with access learning, feel confident, and develop important life and social skills. Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN specialists and external professionals
  • Encouraging independence, communication and confidence

What We’re Looking For as a Teaching Assistant

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in schools, care, or personal settings)
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils
  • The ability to build trusting relationships and use positive behaviour support
  • A proactive, reliable attitude and confidence in the classroom
  • Requirements:
    • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
    • A passion for supporting and empowering children and young people
    • A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
    • A strong commitment to safeguarding
