Support teaching staff to deliver engaging, inclusive learning for all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning in class, working 1:1 and with small groups
- Assist with literacy, numeracy, and curriculum-based activities
- Implement IEPs, behaviour plans, and personalised care programmes
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and pupil independence
- Provide personal care and support medical/health needs where required
- Monitor progress, record achievements, and give feedback to staff
- Contribute to lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
- Support school trips, outdoor learning, and enrichment activities
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have
- Experience working within SEND settings
- Experience supporting children in groups or 1:1
- Excellent classroom management
- A caring and nurturing personality
