Job Title: SEN Outreach Support Worker (Full-Time)

Location: Plymouth

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (Full-Time)

Contract: Ongoing

Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Outreach Support Worker to work full-time across schools and alternative provisions in Plymouth.

This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with additional needs who require outreach intervention, alternative provision, or bespoke support outside of a mainstream classroom setting. You will play a key role in helping students re-engage with education, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support students with ASD, SEMH, ADHD and other additional needs
  • Deliver tailored intervention sessions in schools or community settings
  • Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Liaise with school staff, SENCOs, and families where required
  • Accurately record progress and provide feedback

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle with business insurance (essential)
  • Available full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Confident working independently across multiple settings
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Team Teach or de-escalation training
  • Experience in outreach, PRU, alternative provision or SEMH settings
  • Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work or Care
