About the role
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Rowley Regis, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Learning Support Assistant / LSA. The setting is centred on pupil development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.
Responsibilities
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, MLD/ Moderate Learning Difficulties and SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
- Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
- Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
- Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
