Food Technician – Full-Time (5 Days per Week)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Food Technician to join a welcoming and well‑resourced secondary school in Croydon on a full‑time, five‑day‑per‑week basis. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for food technology lessons.
- Support teachers during practical food preparation sessions.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage stock levels, order ingredients and equipment when required.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and stored appropriately.
- Assist in maintaining hygiene standards and food safety procedures.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a similar food preparation or educational support role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and food hygiene practices.
- The ability to organise practical resources efficiently in a busy school environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and reliable approach to supporting staff and students.
- A relevant degree or qualification in food, nutrition, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
