Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Loading Shovel Operative located in Armthorpe. The Loading Shovel Operative is responsible for safely operating loading shovels, loading lorries as well as loading Crushers & Screeners, transporting materials efficiently around site, and ensuring careful handling of materials to avoid damage. The role involves conducting regular maintenance checks on equipment, following safety standards, and adhering to company guidelines while working within environmental and operational protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating loading shovels and heavy machinery
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance regulations
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions
- Experience in construction, recycling, or material handling sectors is advantageous
- A valid CPCS or equivalent qualification is preferred
- Willingness to work in an outdoor and physically demanding environment
