Company: Wild We Stand
Apply for the Volunteer Content Producer
Location: Greater London
Job Description:

*Wild We Stand is a fully volunteer-led collective and this is a volunteer opportunity. We have a long term strategy to open up paid positions in future, highly value our team’s time and expertise, and strive to provide learning opportunities, benefits and a community for us all*

Are you searching to decolonise and reshape the mainstream conservation movement? Do you crave a bold, forward-thinking community where you can spotlight the rich complexities of wildlife, communities, and ecosystems while confronting the biodiversity crisis?

Wild We Stand is a global environmental collective dedicated to challenging the status quo. We stand against the violent consequences of capitalism and colonialism, and for a decolonised future fuelled by critical, honest, open discussions.

What is the role?

As our Content Producer, you bring our narrative work to life. You will work autonomously to translate our research, programmes and content into high-impact, narrative-aligned visual content. Your role is to ensure our presence remains provocative, progressive, and truly representative of unheard voices across all intersections of conservation.

Time Commitment: 6 hours per week

Location Policy: Fully Globally Remote

What will you be responsible for?

  • Designing engaging, narrative-aligned creative content, including carousels, posters, and static posts, using digital tools like Canva.
  • Producing and editing dynamic short-form video content, such as Reels and Stories
  • Working autonomously to identify visual hooks from our research and events that bridge the gap between our intersections of Conservation, Environment, Culture, Community & Justice
  • Ensuring all digital assets remain truly representative of the WWS aesthetic and mission
  • Representing the WWS brand and values during all collaborative content ideation and production

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience creating creative content in a related field (e.g. ecology, conservation, justice, culture, or community)
  • High-level proficiency with digital design tools like Canva
  • A self-directed approach to identifying key thematic insights and “gold-standard” quotes for visual translation
  • Strong visual communication skills with the ability to turn complex theory into “scannable” digital stories
  • A profound sense of responsibility toward animal protection and environmental justice

It would also be great if you had:

  • Experience in digital journalism, social media storytelling, or brand design
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Express, etc.) for social platforms
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Demonstrated interest in anti-colonial or critical ecology discourse

*Due to the visual representation needed in this role, we will ask to see either your work or work that inspires you in related intersections during an Interview*
