Overview

Cygnet Group are looking for a confident Nights Support Worker with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care. The Old Vicarage is a specialist residential service, supporting adults with learning disabilities who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs. We provide specialist care and support that is tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and community integration. You will be working 40 hours per week, across 4 x 12-hour night shifts, nights only.

Responsibilities

  • Support adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge in a residential setting, promoting independence and community integration.
  • Respond to physical and emotional needs with appropriate care and safeguarding.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
  • Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Job requirements

Note: This role involves night shifts only and is suitable for applicants able to work 40 hours per week across 4 x 12-hour night shifts.

Eligibility and responsibilities

  • Adults from the age of 18+ years.
  • Individuals with a primary diagnosis of learning disability, accompanied with behaviours that challenge, including mental illness or a forensic background.
  • Individuals with a secondary diagnosis of personality disorder or autism.
  • May have communication challenges and associated complex needs.
