Job Purpose
Corporate Finance ensures that TfL preserves and enhances corporate value with the ultimate goal of managing and mitigating TfL’s financial risk and supporting the delivery of the long‑term business plan and investment programme. The Corporate Finance Senior Manager will lead a small team of 1 to 3 Corporate Finance Analysts taking responsibility for development and delivery of a portfolio of TfL’s corporate finance activities such as capital raising, complex contractual arrangements, structured finance and major project funding arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including lenders, contractual counterparties, senior TfL officers, government agencies, service providers and credit rating agencies.
- Responsible for the production of research and analysis in respect to capital structure.
- Responsibility for development, implementation and maintenance of TfL’s borrowing programme.
- Oversee the work of a team of c. 1 to 3 Corporate Finance Analysts.
- Lead new or restructuring of existing large (c. >£100m capital or contract value) project or structured finance transactions.
- Lead funding policy and commercial negotiations with private sector parties and government, including lenders, contractual counterparties, senior TfL officers, government agencies, service providers and credit rating agencies.
- Lead an expert team that provides robust quantitative analysis (including the building of complex financial models where necessary) used for decision making.
- Provide sound financial advice as a centre of excellence to Finance and the wider TfL businesses to maximise the value for money TfL derives from its commercial and financing activities.
- Scope, procure and manage the work of TfL‑appointed professional external advisors (e.g. economists, financial advisers, consultants).
- Challenge senior internal stakeholders up to MD level to ensure that TfL manages its financial risks and maintains appropriate funding for its activities. xwzovoh
