Join our Data, Technology, Automation and AI (DTA) Consulting team as a Data Consultant. You will be passionate about data, analytics and applying insights into our leading financial services clients. This is also a great opportunity for a commercially minded and driven individual to help build out our expanding practice.

Key responsibilities

  • You will work with our clients on multiple disciplines and projects supporting across our clients data programmes from strategy through to enhanced analytics and delivery of data programmes.
  • You’ll be passionate about data and its place at the centre of our client businesses.
  • You’ll have a forward‑thinking approach to data and analytics but be considerate of the heritage environments some of our tier 1 clients currently have.
  • You will be excited about shaping and delivering complex data transformation projects from advising on strategy, data’s place in driving decision making such as predictive analytics, machine learning and AI and working across data programmes.
  • You’ll be excited to utilise proprietary technology such as our ecosystem NLP tooling to solve client problems.
  • Identify potential business opportunities within existing and new clients. Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams and Consulting leadership to develop campaigns, respond to RFPs, and contribute to the growth of DC’s Consulting practice.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience within Financial Services.
  • Data covers a wide array of business functions and competencies varying from strategy and enterprise data architecture to implementing sound data management practices all the way to coding predictive data models and creating data insights and business dashboards. We believe in having a team with a diverse set of skillsets and so are looking for candidates that have experience in one or more of the following to complement our data team:
  • Project and change management experience and the ability to both shape and deliver data programmes.
  • Managing critical data elements for regulatory reporting (data definition, data lineage, data quality monitoring, data quality incident management).
  • Implementing sound data management practices.
  • Design of enterprise data architecture and enterprise logical data models.
  • Programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Spark.
  • Expertise in data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Power BI (Business Intelligence) or Tableau.
  • Data engineering tools such as Hadoop, Kafka, SQL.
  • Experience of analytics and being able to review and present insights in large data sets formed of complex data, including with software such as Alteryx or DI (Document Intelligence).
  • Data quality and/or regulation experience on relevant regulations such as GDPR.
  • Client engagement and stakeholder management experience and the ability to form and nurture advisor relationships with clients.
  • Domain expertise in one or many areas of FS across Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Commercial Banking or Wealth and Asset Management.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Strong presentation skills, experience writing successful project proposals.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment.
  • Prior consulting experience.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, and a genuine curiosity to explore how AI and automation can enhance data workflows and client delivery.
  • Experience using or willingness to learn AI tooling such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to accelerate day‑to‑day tasks including data analysis, document drafting, and code development.
  • An interest in how generative AI and large language models are reshaping data consulting and a desire to stay current with emerging tools and techniques.

This is a permanent full‑time position located in London. A valid working permit for the UK is mandatory for this role.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. xwzovoh Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita requires.
