About the Job Reporting to the Line Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for and assisting with completing the following duties: Manage a high volume of incoming supplier invoices and credit notes across multiple currencies, ensuring all items are accurately logged, coded correctly, and processed in line with internal procedures Match invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation, investigating any differences in pricing or quantities by communicating with suppliers and relevant internal teams Create and maintain supplier records within the finance system, carrying out thorough checks to ensure accuracy and reduce risk of fraudulent activity Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs; assist with weekly bank reconciliation by ensuring all payments are posted against relevant supplier accounts and matched against relevant invoices Complete monthly reconciliations of supplier statements to the purchase ledger, confirming transactions are up to date and resolving any mismatches quickly Manage relationships with suppliers ensuring queries are resolved quickly and professionally Your Skills & Experience Strong background in purchase ledger, accounts payable, and reconciliation within a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong IT skills, with confident use of Microsoft Excel and previous exposure to accounting systems (SAP desirable) Experience in multicurrency invoices and payments Ability to work accurately and efficiently under time pressure Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to use initiative while also working effectively as part of a team For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
