Salary: 60k+

Join us as an associate building control inspector and you'll improve building safety and the environment we live in. You'll use your professional and technical skills to deliver statutory building control functions on a wide range of projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and sustainability. We are also preparing to meet the requirements of the new Building Safety Regime.

We expect you to be chartered and a member of a professional body like CABE, RICS, CIOB, etc., but we will support you to become chartered if needed. What you'll be doing:

  1. Participating in external contract, growth, and resilience work.
  2. Delivering all building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, and site inspections.
  3. Making decisions on applications and notices under relevant building legislation.
  4. Liaising with partner agencies and authorities.
  5. Upselling building control and related services.

What we're looking for:

  1. Experience in building control inspection, surveying, design, project management, or similar, preferably within local government or a building control body.
  2. Knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and practical problem-solving skills.
  3. Experience with building regulation applications.
  4. Understanding of building control software systems.
  5. Ability to work in accordance with quality management standards and performance policies.
