Senior Account Manager at Polikov Recruitment Solutions

We are partnering with a leading specialty insurance group to recruit a Regulatory Counsel for their U.S. Regulatory & Compliance Division. This role supports licensing, data privacy, and multi-state regulatory matters while working closely with leaders in legal, compliance, underwriting, claims, IT, and other key business areas.

The ideal candidate is an attorney with strong research skills, deep knowledge of U.S. insurance compliance and experience advising on data privacy, cybersecurity and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret state insurance regulations in areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI.
• Draft and respond to regulatory complaints, litigation, subpoenas, and information requests.
• Advise underwriting, claims, and broker teams on compliance and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regulatory research and develop training materials for internal stakeholders.
• Draft contracts and agreements; manage outside counsel to ensure cost-effective services.
• Collaborate with IT, Information Security, Underwriting, Claims and Finance to ensure compliance and data security.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• 3–5+ years’ legal experience, preferably in insurance regulatory law or corporate compliance.
• Knowledge of data privacy/cybersecurity laws including CCPA, NYDFS, GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
