Thispositionis20hoursperweekyou’llreceiveanannualsalaryupto£186,480perannumFTE-dependingonexperience.

CandidatesarerequiredtohaveaLegalrighttoworkintheUKandduetothenatureoftherole,offersofemploymentwillbesubjecttoadditionalvettingandsecuritychecks

AsaConsultantPsychiatrist,yourresponsibilitieswillvary.Youwill

• Provideexcellentclinicalcare,assessmentandtreatmenttopatientsonthecaseloadonsite
• Activelyparticipateinthestrategicdirectionofthementalhealthservice,leadtheseniormentalhealthcliniciansonservicedevelopmentsandprovideclinicalsupervision
• Workwithinthemulti-disciplinaryteamtoreviewreferrals,determineappropriatetreatmentplans,conductriskassessments,andengageinmultiprofessionalcomplexcasereviews.

Qualificationsrequired

• Registeredprofessionalwithcurrentregistration(GMC)
• SpecialistRegistrationineitherGeneralAdultorForensicPsychiatry
• Approvedundersection12(2)oftheMHS1983
• Understandingofthecomplexitiesofmulti-disciplinaryandmulti-agencyworking
• UptodateknowledgeintheadultpsychiatryandPD
• Awarenessofcurrentissuesinmentalhealthserviceprovision,policyandlegislation
