Banking Legal Counsel (3+ PQE) - Part-time/Full-time

Overview

Leading global financial institution is seeking a lawyer with a banking background ideally with some trade finance experience. This organisation is a major player in the international banking sector, with a strong presence across EMEA. As one of the world's largest banks, it is known for its expertise in corporate and investment banking, with a particular focus on structured and specialised finance.

A key aspect of this institution's strategic direction is its commitment to sustainable finance. The successful candidate will be joining a team that is actively involved in transactions that support clients' sustainability goals and contribute to the global transition towards a more sustainable economy.

As well as working on broad finance matters, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in other areas including commercial contracts and regulatory matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer to contribute to a key division within a highly-regarded and influential organisation. OUR CLIENT WILL CONSIDER LAWYERS SEEKING EITHER A 4 OR 5 DAY A WEEK POSITION.

Responsibilities

• Work on broad finance matters, including structured and specialised finance.
• Engage in commercial contracts and regulatory matters as part of the team.
• Contribute to transactions that support clients' sustainability goals as part of the bank’s sustainable finance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 3+ PQE in banking/finance.
• Banking background with preferably some trade finance experience.
• Interest in sustainability-focused finance and related regulatory matters.

Employment details

• Employment type: Full-time or Part-time (4 or 5 days per week considered).
• Location: London area, United Kingdom.
