Overview


The Quality Assurance Team collaborates with stakeholders across the institute to ensure that IPSE’s educational services meet sector-recognised standards and reflect best practices in higher education, as well as align with relevant professional accreditation requirements. This team plays a vital role in maintaining strong partnerships with awarding bodies and upholding IPSE’s reputation with statutory and regulatory organisations.


The Quality Officer is responsible for delivering high-level support for IPSE’s quality monitoring and evaluation processes, helping to ensure the effective delivery of higher education programmes at IPSE. They offer staff clear guidance on the correct application of IPSE regulations, policies, and procedures.


Additionally, the Quality Officer supports the Quality Manager/CEO with specific projects and special assignments as required.



Duties



  1. Collaborating with senior management to develop key institutional policies and procedures that align with all relevant regulatory requirements and sector best practices in higher education.

  2. Maintaining the register of academic policies, regulations, and other key documents, including oversight of their review and publication cycle.

  3. Working with Heads of Department and Associate Deans / Deans to produce internal monitoring reports as part of IPSE’s academic governance framework.

  4. Liaising with the Registry team to collect and analyse key performance indicator (KPI) data for internal monitoring and evaluation purposes.

  5. Supporting and servicing key governance committees and events, including the timely distribution of meeting papers and accurate minute-taking.

  6. Responding to queries related to quality assurance and institutional governance, providing clear and reliable guidance—even in areas of ambiguity—to ensure staff understanding and compliance.

  7. Coordinating with staff to compile accurate information for external enquiries (e.g., due diligence), and verifying its accuracy prior to submission.

  8. Organising a variety of training sessions, meetings, and conferences involving both internal and external stakeholders.

  9. Managing the quality assurance team’s filing systems and archival records.

  10. Maintaining and updating the Quality Department’s annual calendar of events and deadlines.

  11. Coordinating the publication of IPSE’s online student satisfaction surveys.

  12. Liaising with student representatives to facilitate student engagement in quality assurance processes.

  13. Assisting the Quality Manager and Associate Dean / Dean in scheduling and coordinating teaching observations.
