As Railway Project Director for a major railway project, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a railway project, from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Strategy
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Define the project's scope, objectives, and goals in alignment with the overall company strategy.
- Team Leadership and Management
- Build, lead, and manage a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, planners, construction managers, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Budget and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and address potential budgetary constraints or risks and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, suppliers, and local communities.
- Communicate project updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders in a transparent and timely manner.
- Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project delivery and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and address project risks throughout the lifecycle, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to relevant quality standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Implement quality control processes to verify that project deliverables meet established criteria.
- Project Execution and Monitoring
- Oversee the execution of project activities, tracking progress against milestones and objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 15+ years) in managing major railway projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth understanding of railway systems, infrastructure, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of risk management and quality assurance practices.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications (optional but advantageous).
