Our client, ABN Amro Bank, is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dependable Business Compliance Officer to join their London team. This role offers a very competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a globally recognised financial institution. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing compliance risks within the organisation’s Clearing business line, providing expert advice on regulatory issues, and fostering collaboration throughout the firm.
What you’ll do:
- Support the Head of Compliance (HoC) in managing the UK Clearing Compliance function
- Develop and maintain the UK Conduct Risk framework
- Provide expert technical advice and face-to-face training on governance and regulation
- Review and sign off relevant financial promotion literature
- Communicate effectively with senior management on matters of regulatory relevance
- Assist with the establishment of policies and procedures to achieve compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations
What you bring:
- Professional qualifications such as the CISI Diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook and key Exchange rules
- Ability to undertake broad compliance monitoring activities
- Excellent communication skills both written and orally
- Ability to resolve conflict and deal with confrontation through tact and skill
- Good understanding of relevant existing, and emerging regulatory requirements
