Insight global is looking for a Platform Engineer to join one of the largest financial services clients globally for a contract to hire opportunity located in London. The chosen candidate will be joining the IAM Management and support team specifically overseeing IAM Secrets and encryption services and be involved in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of their secrets management platform and infrastructure whilst implementing security best practices. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and implementing new functional features, operational improvements, and cyber security practices under the guidance of senior team members to enhance our operational efficiency and security posture. This platform is one of the most critical pieces within the firms infrastructure, processing over 150 million requests a day, as such, the chosen candidate will have to be heavily involved in all areas of the team (i.e. development, operations and security) whilst exercising good judgement and having high attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Platform Engineer focused on Development, SRE and DevOps
• Hands-on experience with scripting using Python and GO
• Experience in Cybersecurity in terms of authentication, authorization, cybersecurity common patterns and implementing best practices
• Exposure to secrets management platforms (e.g., HashiCorp Vault)
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and security tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, and BQL)
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes for deployments
• Experience supporting either Windows or Linux environments.
• Experience working with high-availability systems architecture and the ability to support critical scalable and robust systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in terms of stakeholder management
