Full Stack Software Engineer – Early-Stage HealthTech/FinTech - London. Permanent | Competitive Salary + Equity | Seed-Stage Startup | AI, FinTech, Healthcare.
We are representing a well-funded, early-stage startup redefining financial visibility in the healthcare sector. Backed by reputable investors and founded by experienced operators, the company is building the financial intelligence platform for an industry in urgent need of change. They are looking to hire a Software Engineer to join their small but capable team in central London. This role involves working closely with the CTO to develop and scale high-impact systems and features. This is an opportunity to shape both the product and technical architecture from the ground up and contribute to a business solving a complex and meaningful problem.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of technical projects, from scoping and design to implementation and deployment
- Build reliable, scalable systems including third-party integrations, payment workflows, and internal tooling
- Contribute to backend-heavy infrastructure in a serverless environment
- Work closely with product and commercial teams to ensure business alignment
- Apply clean code principles and help improve development practices and standards
- Balance speed of delivery with long-term scalability and maintainability
Qualifications
- Strong background in backend or fullstack software engineering
- Proficient in Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
- Experience with frameworks such as Next.js and Prisma is desirable
- Comfortable working with modern cloud-native tools such as Vercel, Supabase, and AWS (KMS, Secrets Manager)
- Experience working in a fast-paced start-up or small team environment
- Familiarity with data workflows, automation, or AI-driven systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
