The successful candidate will manage a mixed portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance, providing strategic tax planning advice, and leading junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all HMRC requirements.
- Oversee preparation and review of personal and corporation tax returns.
- Provide high-quality tax planning and advisory services to individuals and owner-managed businesses.
- Liaise with HMRC on client matters, including complex queries and investigations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of the tax team.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and support business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with partners and other departments to deliver a seamless service to clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Significant post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across both personal and corporate tax.
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a small team.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
