Job Description

We are recruiting a Credit Officer to join the Irish Agents Credit Team, responsible for Vetting, Monitoring, and Collections functions for two independent fuel card companies operating in Ireland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to improve processes, influence new ways of working, and expand knowledge across the full credit control function.

Key Tasks

• Analyse and collate data from multiple sources to complete thorough risk reviews.
• Communicate risk recommendations to senior stakeholders to help shape risk/reward decisions.
• Review financial information and assess risk profiles to support credit decisions.
• Maintain accurate customer credit limits to ensure accounts remain within approved thresholds.
• Monitor customer transaction levels, identifying potential misuse or fraudulent activity.
• Ensure accurate and timely record keeping across all credit‑related systems and documentation.

Working Day

25 hours split across 5 days. Candidates may have some flexibility on start and finish times, e.g., 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a credit function is desirable, not essential.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage a varied workload within a busy department.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Diligent with a keen eye for detail.
• Own queries and problem resolution.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Flexible approach and attitude.
• Organised and able to work accurately within a timeframe.
