Business Manager at Simpson Judge – Interim Finance – London
Group Reporting Accountant | London
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company experiencing significant growth in the oil & gas industry.
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office (initially primarily office hours)
This role is initially a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension beyond 12 months.
Ideally, the candidate should be available to start within the next 4 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Lead accounting and financial support for the delivery of statutory accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, supporting the audit process from planning to completion.
- Participate in implementing and improving financial reporting systems and processes.
- Support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate quarterly shareholder reporting and handle additional shareholder requests.
- Perform ad hoc financial tasks and support the Head of Group Reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in financial reporting, with exposure to group reporting, preferably with BIG 4 experience.
- Experience in the oil & gas sector is advantageous.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and developing analytical tools to optimize reports.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative environments.
