The Role
We’re hiring our very first Head of Finance to design, establish and lead the financial function of the company. We need someone to build a financial infrastructure that drives strategy and enables smart, scalable growth. You’ll work closely with the Founders and Leadership Team to translate financial data into clear insights that drive company‑wide decisions on hiring, scaling, and investment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a robust budgeting framework, combining top‑down strategy with bottom‑up detail to enable smart, dynamic planning
- Establish deep, actionable insight into company spend to support financial discipline, understand cost drivers, make strategic trade‑offs, and assist in ongoing cost optimisation
- Support fundraising strategy, including scenario modelling, Cap Table management, due diligence and investor materials
- Lead the transition from basic tools to robust financial systems that scale with us
- Evaluate pricing, margin, and commercial models to support go‑to‑market and product strategy
- Partner on key decisions and upcoming milestones, including manufacturing scale‑up, regulatory strategy and international expansion
Qualifications
- Strong background in finance, particularly areas including Investment Banking, Accounting, Consulting, Venture Capital, Private Equity or other strategic finance
- Demonstrated track record of building financial operations from scratch
- Deep fluency in Excel, strong financial modelling, and a strategic mindset
- Builder’s mentality – excited by creating architecture from scratch, not just using existing systems
- Comfortably switches between long‑term planning and granular detail
- Owns outcomes, not just processes – committed to driving the company’s mission
- Stays grounded and effective amid rapid growth and evolving priorities
- Think independently and is not afraid to challenge decisions
- Embraces ambiguity and understands the pace, pressure, and unpredictability of a high‑growth startup

- Exposure to Medtech, regulated hardware, or other similar sectors
