Education Solicitor - Bristol
Chadwick Nott are delighted to be instructed by a leading national law firm who is looking for an Education Solicitor to play a key role within our Public Law & Human Rights team. You'll be trusted to manage your own caseload, support junior colleagues, and work on matters that genuinely change lives.
The Opportunity
- Running a caseload of complex education matters, including SEND Tribunal appeals.
- Advising on a wide range of education law issues such as:
- School admissions, exclusions & disability discrimination cases
- Complaints against local authorities & schools
- Judicial Reviews & UTT appeals
- Advice to schools/colleges on safeguarding and education law
- EHCP health checks & SEN strategy advice
- Community care law linked to education matters
- Handling a mix of privately and publicly funded work.
- Supervising junior colleagues and reviewing case files.
- Building strong relationships with clients, charities, and education organisations.
- Writing and delivering training, seminars, and articles to share expertise.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in education law (public law/community care knowledge an advantage).
- Confidence to work independently on issued cases.
- Resilience, empathy, and the ability to support vulnerable clients.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for achieving justice.
