Overview

The Deputy Head of UK Student Recruitment is a senior member of the Marketing & Communications Directorate, responsible for delivery of the student recruitment function and supporting the Head of UK Student Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, line‑manage a team of 8 staff (4 events specialists, 4 recruitment specialists) and support 1 direct report.
  • Own direct recruitment and sales activities, ensuring a positive high‑quality journey for prospective students from prospect to enrolment at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and professional services to deliver an excellent prospect and applicant experience and meet internal stakeholder needs.
  • Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day operations of enquiry management and hybrid recruitment and conversion events, utilising resources to achieve set targets.
  • Provide leadership and guidance, deputise for the Head of UK Student Recruitment, and continuously improve business processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative, technical, interpersonal, communication and management skills.
  • Passion for higher education, engagement with external developments and drive to innovate.
  • Experience in recruitment, sales or related service delivery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with university partners and stakeholders.
