Non-Technical Engineering Manager — Location: London & Manchester (2-3 days a month in the office).
A leading technology company is looking for a Non-Technical Engineering Manager to support the success and development of two highly collaborative engineering teams. What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and mentoring engineers, helping them set and meet meaningful goals.
- Ensuring team members receive timely feedback and are supported in their growth.
- Leading effective hiring and onboarding for your teams.
- Supporting hybrid working practices and fostering psychological safety.
- Collaborating with peers across Product, Delivery, and Engineering to drive improvement.
- Shaping inclusive hiring processes and career development structures.
- Championing a values-driven and transparent work culture.
Requirements
- Has experience managing engineers in software teams.
- Is skilled in coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Has an ability to scale technical teams.
- Enjoys helping others grow and develop their careers.
- Can quickly grasp technical contexts and advocate for team needs.
