Overview
An established technology innovator is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to join their specialist engineering team. The role focuses on creating advanced RF solutions for secure communications and high-performance applications across defence, aerospace, and other critical sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Lead RF system and component design, including amplifiers, filters, antennas, and frequency converters
- Perform RF simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototype validation
- Resolve complex hardware and system-level issues
- Support manufacturing, integration, and formal design reviews
- Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years in RF design (7+ preferred)
- Strong expertise in RF components, simulation tools, and PCB design
- Experience with high-power RF amplifiers, LNAs, and antennas
- Solid understanding of analogue/digital electronics and EMC principles
- UK citizenship or eligibility for Security Clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience in military or aerospace product development
- Familiarity with Altium Designer, AWR Microwave Office, or Ansys HFSS
- Knowledge of MIL-STD or DO-160 test procedures
