Job Overview

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in East Sussex. My client is a global centre of excellence, specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic controllers, instrumentation, and drives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPI Development team, liaising with design staff to ensure overall quality and delivery of new parts.
• Ensure design concepts can be manufactured cost‑effectively.
• Oversee prototype build of products, prepare relevant documentation and actively participate in PFMEAs and DFMEs.
• Work with Operations personnel to optimise and layout assembly areas and tooling for the NPI build.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) within electronics assembly, PCB/cable assembly, or electronics box build.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Engineering Degree or equivalent and provable experience in a similar position.
• Awareness of various electronic printed circuit assembly techniques beneficial.
