Guildford Borough Council is recruiting two full‑time Civil Enforcement Officers. This is a challenging and rewarding job if you enjoy working outdoors and dealing with the public.
You will be part of a successful team, which holds the Customer Service Excellence Award, advising and assisting members of the public regarding the parking facilities and enforcing the parking restrictions.
You will need to patrol significant distances and access confined spaces between cars, travel around Guildford and Waverley boroughs to enforce Traffic Regulation Orders, using the Council’s vans and scooters.
To do so you must have a valid full driving licence to drive manual‑gear cars in the UK, successfully pass the Council’s internal driving assessment, and hold or be willing to gain a Compulsory Basic Training certificate to allow use of the Council’s mopeds/scooters. It is essential that you have a courteous, helpful, and confident manner and that you are an effective communicator.
A 37‑hour week is worked including Saturdays and Bank Holidays on an early and late shift basis; Sunday is worked on a voluntary basis.
