Lead Insight Analyst – Wealth & Personal Banking

Location: Hybrid | Onsite 2x per week in Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield or Chester

We are working with our Wealth & Personal Banking client whosupports millions of customers across the UK, from everyday banking through to lending, savings, investments and wealth management.

Our client’s UK Analytics & CRM Centre of Excellence uses data, insight and machine learning to drive smarter decisions, improve customer outcomes, and deliver sustainable growth. They are now looking for a Lead Insight Analyst to join this high-performing function and play a key role in shaping insight across their Lending portfolio.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to translate complex business needs into actionable analytics, insight and data products
  • Leading end-to-end analytical projects across secured and unsecured lending, including acquisition, targeting, pricing, balance growth, spend growth and regulatory initiatives
  • Designing, building and maintaining robust data products including tables, views, segments and associated metadata
  • Developing, deploying and maintaining predictive and forecasting models to support business decision‑making
  • Delivering insight across consumer behaviour, segmentation, marketing effectiveness and pricing strategy
  • Supporting regulatory programmes and ensuring high standards of data accuracy, integrity and governance
  • Collaborating with global analytics teams to develop shared data products and standards
  • Clearly communicating conclusions, risks and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Essential experience (you must have)

  • Experience in an Insight Analytics or Risk Analytics role within Financial Services
  • Direct exposure to consumer lending products (e.g. loans, credit cards, mortgages or similar)
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, profitability and customer behaviour
  • Advanced analytical skills using SAS and SQL (Python or VBA also beneficial)
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets
  • Proven ability to take an analytics project from problem definition through to business recommendation
  • Knowledge of FCA regulation and working in a regulated lending environment
