Test Manager

Location: Hybrid (2–3 days per week on-site in Corsham)

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of our work, all applicants must be eligible for UK security clearance. This requires holding a British passport and having lived in the UK continuously for the past five years.

An experienced Test Lead is sought to manage a testing service comprising 7 to 17 Test Engineers. The team is responsible for integration and end-to-end testing of a major IT Service Management (ITSM) function within a secure environment. The role offers the opportunity to shape testing strategy and governance, with scope to introduce automation in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the project’s Test Strategy and governance framework
• Plan and assure integration testing of new or modified capabilities
• Lead functional integration, end-to-end, and API testing activities
• Estimate testing effort for new workstreams to support accurate project planning
• Align testing practices with industry standards and best practices
• Provide assurance of third-party supplier testing
• Collaborate with Business and Process Owners to develop high-coverage test cases
• Manage defect lifecycle and reporting
• Lead and mentor a team of deployed Test Engineers
• Produce monthly service outcome reports
• Identify and manage testing risks
• Proven leadership in test management within secure environments
• Strong background in manual testing with potential to evolve into automation
• Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, and ServiceNow platforms
• Experience in delivering client-side assurance and working with third-party vendors
• Desirable: Experience implementing test automation frameworks
