Job Description
Overall purpose of the job: To take ownership of customer-facing projects within the company and deliver those projects within a controlled environment while meeting mutual customer and Exponential-e pre-defined objectives using recognised processes and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Keeping all stakeholders up to date with project developments using recognised project documents.
- Coordinating project teams to realise set deadlines and milestones.
- Ensuring the project remains on track within agreed tolerances; notify the Project Board of forecasted deviations and apply corrective measures.
- Coordinating and chairing all project meetings.
- Attending project bid and scoping meetings.
- Presenting Exponential-e project management approach to customers, providers and colleagues.
- Coordinating any required customer training.
- Completing proposals, sometimes within short notice.
- Maintaining internal systems to capture and label product and service implementations; updating internal project documents.
- Managing escalations with all necessary parties and communicating progress to customers as necessary.
- Any other fair and reasonable tasks as assigned by your Manager or senior staff.
Knowledge and experience required
- Project management experience.
- Experience working in a service-provider environment delivering Networking/WAN/LAN/Voice/Cloud-based solutions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Methodical and structured approach with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Responsible and willing to take ownership of essential tasks.
- Well organised and self-motivated team player.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a results-driven environment.
- Ability to think outside of the box as necessary.
- Working knowledge of project document suites including Microsoft Project.
Desirable knowledge and experience
- Preferably experience working within product management teams.
- Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills.
