An established wealth management and financial planning firm in London is seeking a motivated Paraplanner to join its high-performing, collaborative team. Role & Responsibilities
As a Paraplanner, you will provide essential technical and research support to the financial planning team while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and client service.
- Preparing reports, recommendation letters, and compliant advice documents
- Conducting technical calculations (Inheritance Tax, CGT, carry forward etc.)
- Creating and presenting cashflow models using Voyant software
- Supporting advisers with client meeting preparation and attending meetings where required
- Producing detailed file notes and identifying planning requirements for annual reviews
- Managing client paperwork, research, and provider communications
- Assisting with compliance documentation and peer reviewing reports
- Supporting trainee paraplanners and administrators, including client liaison and new business processing
- Participating in weekly adviser meetings and monthly team reviews
- Continuously developing knowledge via CPD and professional qualifications
Skills & Experience Required
- At least 3 years’ experience within financial services, with 2 years in a dedicated paraplanner role
- Level 4 qualified (or working towards)
- Experience working with HNW private clients preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of financial planning, including tax calculations and compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial planning tools (Xplan, Voyant)
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, “can-do” approach
- Professional discretion and sensitivity when working with client information, including vulnerable clients
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service up to 30 days)
- Auto-enrolment pension scheme (3% employer, 5% employee)
- Full support towards CII qualifications and training
