We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Convertible Bonds team as a Junior Analyst on an initial 2-year fixed term contract. In this position, you will play an important role in supporting the team and gain experience in the asset class. You are expected to have strong mathematical and analytical skills to help support the team on portfolio administration across our funds. The role will also develop into equity and credit analysis contributions to the team.
Throughout the fixed term contract there may be the opportunity to complete formal training in financial modelling and pursue professional qualifications such as the CFA designation.

Our team is among the longest standing at Redwheel with decade long track records. We manage 3 strategies and have recently launched an additional innovative product in the asset class that we believe to have significant growth potential.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining spreadsheets to monitor exposures / pricing
- Helping with month end reporting
- Assisting with fundamental research on names
- Building and maintaining financial models for company valuation and ongoing investment monitoring
- Organizing and maintaining proprietary data, documents and research tools
- Assisting in the preparation of materials for meetings with clients, company management teams and internal stakeholders
- Assisting in fund administration and record keeping as required
- Providing broader support to the investment team.
Core skills
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel with coding a bonus but not a requirement
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team, with the ability to be receptive to guidance and feedback
- Intellectually curious, capable of thinking critically and communicating your conclusions and research findings
- It is not a requirement to have experience or knowledge of the convertible market however a motivation to develop an understanding is required
- Committed to continuous learning.
Core requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent or higher.
- Up to 2 years’ experience in investment research, financial market analysis, or corporate finance (this might include an industrial placement year)
- Completion of CFA Level 1/IMC or similar qualification is a plus, but not essential.
- Familiarity with company financial statements, financial analysis and modelling is a bonus, but not essential.
- Excellent technology skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Some knowledge of Bloomberg would be helpful, but not a requirement.
