This role sits within the Finance Leadership team, reporting to the Head of Finance. You’ll lead both the corporate finance function across UK and overseas entities, as well as the finance operations team, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements. • Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience with a proven track record in delivering finance change projects
  • Expert knowledge of accounting standards, including UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Skilled in financial reporting, data analysis and finance systems (SUN/Oracle GL desirable)
  • Experience of accounting for a Lloyd’s Syndicate and associated corporate entities

What you’ll get for this role

We invest in our colleagues and offer a comprehensive reward package, including:

  • Salary circa £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity of around 12% of annual salary, dependent on performance
  • Generous pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 14%
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Discounts on a range of products and retailers
  • Free company shares each year through a matching share plan and access to a save‑as‑you‑earn scheme
  • Supportive policies, including parental and carer’s leave
  • Flexible benefits tailored to you, including sustainability‑focused options
  • Opportunities to make a difference through paid volunteering days
  • A strong focus on wellbeing with access to a wide range of support and tools

Inclusion and flexible working

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences. If you’re excited about the role but aren’t sure you meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We also support flexible working arrangements, including part‑time roles and job shares.

We offer flexibility in location, hours and working patterns to suit both the business and you. Most colleagues spend around 50% of their time in our offices each week, blending flexibility with in‑person collaboration.
