Overview
Software Development Lead/Manager (C#/.Net) - Sheffield - New Role! (REF36). A market leading organisation in the healthtech space requires a Software Development Lead/Manager to join its growing and successful team.
Suitable candidates will have the following experience:
- Strong commercial experience in software development using C# .NET, coupled with circa 2 years experience in a leadership/management role.
- Experience leading technical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable with Git version control.
- Process driven.
- Flexible approach and positive attitude.
- Experience with at least two of the following: ORM (NHibernate, Entity Framework, etc.), SQL Server or other relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), DevExpress components (Desirable), Familiar with developer tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Leading two software development teams and helping to drive projects forward.
- Managing and mentoring software developers.
- Setting and maintaining architectural standards.
- Writing and reviewing code.
- Creating a long-term strategy for modernising the code base.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Building strong relationships with customers (will include customer site visits, conference visits and supporting product user groups).
Qualifications
- Mid-Senior level experience in software development leadership.
