This role forms part of Ofgem’s efforts to secure, affordable, and resilient gas supply as the UK’s energy system transforms toward Net Zero.
Britain’s energy system is changing rapidly, and ensuring gas remains secure, affordable and resilient has never been more important. Ofgem is looking for a Senior Policy Manager to help shape how gas supply is maintained today, while supporting the transition to Net Zero in the years ahead.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.
You will contribute to work that spans security of supply, wholesale markets and system operation, helping inform decisions that affect households, businesses and communities across Great Britain.
Alongside a base salary of £47,895, Ofgem contributes £13,875 towards your Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. You will receive 30 days annual leave after 2 years, excellent training and development opportunities, hybrid working (currently one day a week in the office), flexible working hours and family-friendly policies.
Full-time, Permanent. Locations: Cardiff, Glasgow, London (hybrid work, ~20% in office).
