A successful global hedge fund specializing in mid- and high-frequency trading is seeking a Platform Engineer Lead. This role will be responsible for the design, deployment, and architecture of the firm's ultra-low latency trading platform. The candidate will automate daily software and hardware tasks, develop scripts and tools, and lead the team in maintaining a high-performance, low-latency environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application owners to develop and maintain application architecture.
- Analyze existing architectures and oversee migration efforts.
- Optimize system performance to ensure minimal latency.
- Adhere to project timelines within a fast-paced release cycle.
- Implement new technologies and continuous improvement strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining application architectures.
- Experience with Kubernetes environment setup and management.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, public cloud, DevOps, and enterprise architecture.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of high-capacity, low-latency infrastructure.
- Understanding of build, deployment management, and DevOps practices.
